Positions and Employment

December 2011 – December 2014 : Sub-Head: Emergency Department, Bafoussam Regional Hospital.

  • Assure daily care of patients with diverse pathologies, most frequent being HIV/AIDS complications, diabetes and cardiovascular emergencies.
  • Serve as liaison between the different specialists in the hospital.
  • Participate in the clinical training of medical and nursing students at the Emergency department
  • Ward skills involve placing of IV catheters, central IV lines, chest drains, castings and splinting with minor surgical procedures.

December 2011 – December 2014 : Focal Point: Changing Diabetes in Children (CDiC) Cameroon Clinic.

  • Coordination of the clinical management of children with Type 1 diabetes mellitus in the West Region.
  • Assure the regular and trimestral follow-up of all registered children in the programme.
  • Send monthly reports to the head office at the Yaounde Central Hospital.
  • Organise education workshops and diabetes camps for all the children with type 1 diabetes to strengthen education and to encourage parental participation to treatment.

March 2013 – December 2014 : Pioneer Head of Centre: Diabetes and Hypertension Treatment Centre.

  • Coordinates the consultation and treatment of patients with diabetes and associated pathologies.
  • Assure daily ward rounds in the diabetes unit and specialist referral for dialysis.

  • Participation in research projects with the centre as a clinical site.

January 2015 – December 2017 : Study Coordinator for the H3A Diabetes Study Cameroon.
